Second--Never lend money you plan to try and get back.
Consider it gone! I say this for two reasons;
1-It causes heartache and tons of problems
2-Its not worth it.
This is your sister! Not some random stranger! You say she is fixing her husbands car all the time and odds are she cannot repay the loan.
I understand your predicament having been there on my own. But I have learned to let things go... So Consider the money gone and try to move on with your relationship.
good luck

im so sorry this is happening to youits even worse that its your sister-which means that you will be more hurt than if this was a friend you lent to.i wouldnt take any money from her purse-i can understand the frustration but she could call the police as technically they will see this as theft-ironic considering she owes you.i would get in touch with a citizens advice bureauconsidering youre also on a low income they could asvise you of where to obtain some legal aid in terms of taking this to court.i hope your sister sees sense. you sound like a lovely sister and you certainly do not deserve the selfish treatment your sisters giving you.take care hunny and please keep strong and update us xx
