My selfish ex bf won't talk to me now, because I didn't leave work to pick him up with my car. Should I call him?

Me and my ex broke up and became friends but he's till selfish. We broke up about 5 months ago and didnt speak. He called me after mayeb two months. We started having casual sex without the strings. We hang out from time to time. I used to let him use my car when we were together, so he started askin if he could use my car to go to interviews and take car of business. So I let him. One night at about 11 he called and needed a ride home, on the other side of town. I got out of bed and took him home. The next day he called and asked to use my car and I told him yes if he would replace the gas. He didnt sound too sure he could. So he called me while I was at wk and asked if I could leave and pick him up. I told him I couldnt leave wk again and he got mad and hung up on me. I havent heard from him in a week after speaking almost everyday. Should I be the first to call??
