How do you feel about his brother being sentenced to jail for two or three years? Must have been something pretty serious, sounds like.
Are you afraid you might get dragged into something "shady" if you continue to associate with your bf and his family? Or is your bf completely on the up-and-up?

reader, anonymous, writes (3 September 2008): Tell him you are sorry that he has to deal with his brother being sent away and ask him if there is anything you can do. Tell him you want to be there for him if he needs to talk about it. (just don't pressure him to talk if he doesn't want to)
