My life was way bad for most of the last 15+ years of my life.9 months ago I got a new Boss 15 years my senior. And she made a huge change in my life, for the better.I was finally happy.she paid so much attention to me I felt great. Now she has stopped. And I am instantly the same as I was before.I do like her but she is my boss and never went further than hanging out as friends. My life is not the same since we stopped hanging out at.do I tell her,do I remain silent or just attempt to turn myself around?

A male reader, Dr. John United States +, writes (20 July 2008):

Dr. John agony auntI am a firm believer in open communications.

Perhaps she would not be opposed to going with you to have coffee so the both of you can talk.

During that time simply ask her how she feels about relationships between employees in the work place.

From that point you can either persue her or if she says it is a no no then you can tell her of your intentions and add that you understand and that you will not persue it.

I hope this helps. Doc
