writes: Am 24 and in the university. I have a lecturer that keeps staring at me and at times when he stares at me he starts saying things about himself (things like i dont smoke, drink etc) at times he even miss words. The way he stares at me makes me loss concentration i cant even think right. He got married recently and yet still stares at me like before, always wants 2 say things that will attract my attention 2 him and he will lecture me until i graduate. Please somebody advise me cos i cant just concentrate in his class and i dont want 2 fail. He even stares at me in exam hall.

reader, anonymous, writes (25 March 2010): You need to speak to someone at Uni who deals with student problems. A student counsellor prehaps. Say you find his constant staring a distraction. He shouldnt be doing this, its not acceptable. Ask if someone in authority can have a word with him and explain theres been a complaint about his habit of staring at students. Ask that they dont mention you by name as you dont want any further problems with him. Men that stare like that often do it to more than one woman, so he probably wont know whos reported him.
