writes:hi aunty,Well last few days have been a roller coaster for me.I am a mid 20's guy staying by my self in a small apartment. As per the rules and regulations of the apartments contract,alcohol is not allowed..But I still do bring beer from outside and I guess my neighbours told this to the land-lady. I work during the day and usually come back late,my land-lady kept calling me to check on me,but I would rarely answer it.This Thursday she came in for a surprise visit to check alcohol but I didn't go to work. I was home. I was in the shower when she came in..guess she was going to evening,hence she was looking great..she began checking my room,unaware that I am in the washroom..I wasn't aware of her presence too,I just walked out of my washroom with a towel around and there she was checking my kitchen..I couldn't go to my room,as she was near the bedroom door,so she began her question session in the kitchen,saying that she heard my complaints about my alcohol thing.She said she wanted to catch me red handed,but every time I was too smart for her. I asked her to calm down,and I was being good,well oops..right there my towel slipped off..The land lady looked at me and then left the house with out saying anything. On Sunday morning I got a call from her to come to her house,I went coz I was a bit nervous..Turns out my land-lady began flirting with me. She told me..oh my husband comes home only 2 days a week,rest he is away. She began touching me and ran her fingers through my face. She said she wanted to have fun with me..She is 33 years old,I think she is interested in me..What should i do?

she seems a bit conniving to go into your room and do a search without any permission.
i wouldnt trust her.

 I think I would just wait until the lease expires and move to another apartment where you can drink beer whenever the mood srikes without an oversexed Nazi breathing down your neck.

reader, anonymous, writes (24 June 2009): First off, if the rules are 'no alcohol' then you should abide by that. I assume you agreed to this when you took on the lease?
Secondly, I don't think she has any legal right to come snooping around your apartment - it should be your own private space now that you're in residence.
You've got two choices - you either give her what she's asking for or not. It certainly sounds like she's interested in your giving her a little more than just the rent, but if you take her up on her offer you'd better have a plan for future accommodation if her husband were to catch you out. I foresee a can of worms being opened, but you're both adults and capable of making adult decisions. There could be adult consequences if you do the wrong thing though.
If I were you and she told me she wanted some fun with me I'd be inclined to offer to take her to an amusement park.

 She's out of order doing a spot check on your room, its an invasion of privacy. Do you like her? It could be an oppotunity to have sex, however she does own your apartment so things could get complicated, not to mention the fact that she has a husband! If you want to maintain the landlady/tennant relationship then don't flirt back with her, just keep conversation to a minimum. X
