Good point. It would seem that he will have to get tested himself but it would be inconclusive about who gave the infection to whom.
If, however, he was treated 8 months ago for it, that would be interesting. And a little bit problematic if he then let his wife get pregant.

You may have had it an been asymptomatic. Could it have been for years? Ask your doctor.
Appearently it can spread non-sexually too :

"While trichomoniasis is usually passed sexually, it may be picked up from contact with damp or moist objects such as towels, wet clothing, or a toilet seat, if the genital area gets in contact with these damp or moist objects."
Finnally, if your husband is swearing up and down, he may be willing to release his medical records or get tested himself. Give the guy a chance to prove his innocence.
