Question - (4 January 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 4 January 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

I've been married for 5 years now, and our marriage has been great, we've got two lovely children.

My husband was brought up to have a work ethic and "waste not want not" which he's taught our children.

However, he's started taking the "waste not want not" thing too far by encouraging our kids to eat stale food, including rotten apple cores. He said it's good for everyone, and that all of us should do it.

I tried talking to him, convincing him we'd get health issues from eating stale food, but he ranted at me about it.

what should I do??

Griffo agony auntUsually it's ok to go over a couple of days but I've actually experimented with this subject. during the time I did these tests I found that after about a week you become very tired all the time the body lacks the nourishment fresh food provides. I also began getting headaches and it effected my tolerance towards other people where you can become angry and frustrated easier. I did this test for 1 month. I will never do it again. It was like that mcdonalds documentry "super size me" infact I'd watch that to get a rough idea of what can happen.
