The problem now is that girl happens to be my roommate's girlfriend, while at the same time my girlfriend forbids me to see that girl at all, ie. I have to leave the house right away whenever she comes over; I'm not allowed to see/talk to her at all; and I have to hate her as well. Right now we're in a huge fight where the trigger is that my girlfriend learned that she was planning to come along with my roommate and I to Costco the other day. Despite that she didn't go in the end, she claims that I didn't resolve the problem, and isn't considerate of her feelings and cannot keep up without seeing that girl at all.

Wow, thats rough. You need to tell your girl to relax, this is her personal issue and she has no right to use you as a proxy, especially when contact with this woman is unavoidable. She needs to resolve this argument with your roommate's girlfriend herself. But that might take a while... men can fight for a day then go on with life as normal. Whith women these things are always more drawn out.
