Question - (3 August 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 4 August 2011)
A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I was born outside US but been here since March 2010. I have been in a relationship with an American girl who happens to be one year older than me. She is gorgeous and has sharp sense humor . I am her second boyfriend and she dated me months after she breaking up with her first boyfriend. She loves me as hell and takes care of me like prince . However, I have noticed one thing about her that she doesn't express her opinion openly with me whenever I plan something. I always get nod from here no matter whatever I say or plan for the future. I last night , I talked to her about it and she told me that she used be very opinionated but her first relationship got messed up because of that instinct of her and now she is doing this just to make sure that she didn't lose me. I made it clear on her that I am different kind of guy who always respects people take on different things but remained quite for a while and then broke into tears. Don't guys think that with the passage of time she will start expressing her opinion rather than being just "Yes Woman" all the time? You guys take on this would be appreciated here. Thank you!

Jmtmj agony auntGive her time. If she truly is "very opinionated", the flood-gates will burst at one stage. Then again, maybe she just likes you taking the lead and being the assertive one... that's not really a bad thing is it?
