writes:What should I do about this guy I like?Everyone at my school seems to like this guy that joined last year. He started a bit late because he switched school, and a ton of people have "tried it on" with him. My friend really likes him, in fact I think a few of my friends secretly do. I have been ignoring some of my feelings for my best friend's sake, joking I don't get why everyone likes him, and that I'd love to be his friend but can't get past the crowds of swooning females. Its gotten to a stage were I've had to admit to myself I like him. I'm starting to think it's a bit more than like. I haven't felt like this about anyone I've known for a looong time. I was surprised to find that in a weeks vacation I thought about him all day, everyday, even dreaming about him. I don't know if he likes me, sometimes I think he could, he tries to ask me questions and engage me in conversation, seems happy when he talks to me, often looking in my direction when he talks to my friends as a group. I know how these stories go, and they dont end well. My friend is obviously crazy for him. For all I know, she loves him and they are meant to be together. If they love each other, then I will gladly live in hell for them to be together. I don't know if he likes her, and I don't want her hurt. And if he did like me, how could I do anything when I know she likes him, it would tear my heart to reject him, and it would tear it just as much to say yes.What can I do? I feel I need to know if he likes me, we are not on a level were I can just ask him, so how can I tell from what he does? Currently I have to act really cool so know one can see how happy i get when hes in the same room as me, never mind talking to me, and i want to be his friend, how can i find a balance between "keen to talk" and "I LOVE YOU!!!"?

 Wow this guy sounds like a right ladies man. Lucky him having all of these females falling at his feet. Ok first off girly its time you were honest to your best friend. Yes I know that you are trying to protect her feelings but you need to tell her just how much you like him. Its always better to be honest. So yes you need to pluck up the courage and tell her how you have been feeling.
Ok well its hard for me to tell you how he will act if he likes you as all different men act different to girls that they like. Therefore your best bet is to just try and get to know him more and see what happens. You said you are not at the level to just ask him. So just be friendly to him and flirt a little with him and see if he responds. He sounds like he is a confident guy therefore am sure if he likes you he will ask you out if he sees that you are interested. Goodluck.
