And ok, if it is just the way they act i respect that, but am i alone in thinking thats a bit over the top??

Most girls show their feelings openly towards their female friends as we can, where as boys don't.
I don't feel this is over the top I tell my best friend I love her loads and things like that because I do, she's my best friend and been there when I've needed her the most.
I really think you are worrying over nothing but if it does bother you talk to your girlfriend about it although you may come across a little daft.

Best friends for girls are the best thing on earth lol... We tend to tell them everything, confide in them, cry with them, laugh with them, share with them and generally have fun. There is a big bond with us girls you know!
The expression love you loads and love you forever is all about the feel good factor and the fact that that person really knows you and you never want to break that bond, you just want them to know that you care and that you always will.. yeah girls can go over the top but at a young age is all part of the fun and it does calm down a bit... in times of crisis even now or sometimes if i havent spoken to my best mate for a while, we will sign off emails with love you loads or miss ya! and stuff like that just so we know they care and are thinking of us. Just a women thing I think and men would never understand! tee hee

I know my best friend and I always leave comments on eachother's pages that say "i love you," "i miss you," and she even asked me to marry her one day but it was all in good fun. We are both very much inlove with 2 wonderful guys. I don't think you should be worried unless you see some physical evidence or if they are constantly saying "i miss you" then that might be a little too much, especially if they are not apart and see eachother often. I mean once in a while it's okay, but not everyday. A lot of girls tend to have inside jokes with girlfriends so don't be too worried. =)
