reader, anonymous, writes (29 January 2011): everyone has given some really good responses here, but just one more thing, your friends might just be jealous of your boyfriend, especially if they are single! it's not nice but it happens,and if you're spending all your time with your guy they might be feeling a bit resentful and are taking it out on him. you could try asking them about it, although probably try not to make it sound like you are accusing them. good luck!

I'm going to use a different tactic and ask why your friends don't like him. Sometimes if that many people don't like someone, it usually means they're bad. It is true that they should be happy for you, but you need to think about why they don't like him. Either they're jealous, or they're telling you something.

reader, anonymous, writes (2 January 2011): It really depends on whether they have a reasonable reason to dislike him such as he called them names or spoke about them meanly or whether they have just decided they don't like him for no reason.
If they've just got something against him for no reading it's time you told them they are being unreasonable.
