Question - (20 March 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 21 March 2011)
A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

in september i started college and met 3 new friends and one of them is my new best friend and he has said that he would count me as his because we hang out a lot. one of the other friends was his best friend before and me and him don't have a lot in common to be honest and he isn't the best of friends either.

this second friend has a girl friend and they split up about 2 weeks ago but last week they got back together. Me his girlfriend have spoke quite a bit recently online and in person when we see each other and i have started to like her. She and my friend's relationship isn't going to last because she has told me and i have seen it that he doesn't treat her well and he doesn't trust her when she hasn't done anything not for him to do this.

i think he gets the feeling that i like her because when we both saw her he kept wanting to kiss her in front of me which i thought was weird. i think that she may slightly like me as well because she has liked a lot of my facebook statuses over the last few days and she has started all of our conversations online over the last few days.

i don't want to ruin what little relationship they have and i don't know if i should tell her or my friend that i like her.

what do i do?

thank you

dirtball agony auntI think it's generally best to stay out of these types of things. Wait for her to be single and you will be less likely to appear as a GF thief.

If you do tell her you're interested, say you're only interested if she's single, but you're also not waiting around forever. Put the ball in her court and see what she does.
