writes: Hello everyone, any advice to this problem would be much apreciated.I have a friend who is 14 like me and there is only me and her in our year who like the music we like, I asked her if she wanted to go to the sugarmill with meto see an Indie band preform. She asked her mums's boyfriend and he said he dosn't like the sugarmill, but he's never even been there, they wont let her go shopping any where other than her hometown and it annoys me because she is sensible they just wont lt her grow up, me and her can have so much fun when we want to, and If they'd let hr out maby we could. 14 is still very young, and it is perfectly reasonable that they only want her shopping in her hometown. parents make the rules and those rules need to be respected. the more she respects their rules the more likely she is to earn their trust which means her parents will be more lenient.

I am sorry , there is not much you can do in your friends case. You have to accept their decisions
Some kids are more resourceful and can find a way around this problem.

Nothing.. parents pay the bills and they make the rules... all you can do is find things to do where she can come.
