Hiya

I've really liked this guy for ages, and the other day my friend asked him to rate me. He gave me an alright mark, and all of my friends were saying that I should ask him out. But my friend then also told me that he said that he wouldn't go out with me at the minute because he really liked someone else and it wouldn't be fair.

So I held back, but then the next day, he asked out my best friend, who had told me that she thought he was nice, so she said yes. She did ask me if I would be alright with it, and I told her that I would, because she's not had much luck in her romantic life so far and I wasn't going to go out with him anyway. But now, they're really close and each time I see them together my heart breaks. I can't decide whether I'm happy for them, or sad. Also, my friend likes another guy much more, and I know that there are about 5 other pretty girls that really like the guy she goes out with. Please help. What should I do?
