My First Date: Nervous and Anxious About It

A male United States age 30-35, *hillANDlearn writes:

I finally built up the courage to talk to a girl, I've never met before, and got her number. We're going to hang out for lunch this weekend, and I'm nervous on how to act on our date. I'm afraid of being too stiff, shy, and not revealing my true happy-and-humorous self when were hanging out.

Does anyone have any tips on flirting? As my friends are all able to do it except for me. I'm afraid of coming off as a pervert if I try to flirt with her.

-Thanks

Hey pal!

Cool! Dont worry about flirting. Show her you like her as more than a friend by complimenting her looks, anything from nice skin, to hair.. to even her smile. Flirting on a first date at least can come across as "I just want some a$$"... when you get to know her more, youll pick up on cues on how to flirt. Comes naturally man. For now, discuss your interests, goals in life, and if things feel good, discuss your relationship goals. Make eye contact, smile, be warm to her and you will win a gentleman award. Oh and as a bonus these days, she'll actually be interested in a gentleman. Good luck.
