We've grown very fond of each other but since we both just broke up earlier this year we're taking things slow and getting to know the other party better before going any further. What bugs me is that my family would not be keen if they were to find out that I was going out with a guy not from my race. What should I do?

You have the right to go out with whoever you want to, reguardless of race, ethnicity, culture, etc. If you guys like each other and enjoy each other's company don't let family influences ruin what could be a great relationship. Perhaps after awhile, your family may warm up to the fact that you are dating someone outside your race, especially if they treat you right and make you happy.
