writes:i have an ex that just wont leave me alone. he's 20 and i'm 17. he tried to control me when we were together and i got fed up after 2 months and ended it. i've recently started to get back to talking with my close friends and i've also started dating a new guy. but i'm afraid that my ex will ruin that chance for me. he keeps saying that he wants to get back together and telling people that we probably will. he also tells people i cheated on him and i'm a slut and everything else. he says he loves me and its just gotten creepy and i'm actually very afraid. he dives by the house talks to my friends to see if i've changed my mind and i'm just fed up. i dont know how to get rid of him and i dont know what to do. help?

reader, anonymous, writes (26 August 2009): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthank you. my parents do know and my friends do know. he has been told plenty of times to cut it out and by more people than just myself. my mother father and all my really close friends have told him to just stop. but he still wont. i've told him plenty of times to back off and even his friends are telling him to back off. but thank you. ill take your advice into consideration when i decide how to stop him

Now love is a tricky thing. Coming from a males perspective, if a relationship you were really into ends, sometimes you do act irreationally. I mean, driving by and talking to friends, checking online socail networking sites. ect.
I mean honestly, its probably harmless, but if you feel at all threatened. Maybe you should tell him you have a p.p.o pending, and if he doesnt abide, he will be put into jail.
I doubt its anything dangerous, is it an ivasion of privacy, yes. Is it awkward yes. But do what your heart tells you to do.
