My ex is dating my friend and it makes me jealous!

My boyfriend of 5 months broke up with me about a month ago. He said he didn't want a girlfriend anymore, I was so sad and cried myself to sleep for about 2 weeks. Then I met this incredible guy! We started talking and I fell hard for him! We are now dating and its going strong! But recently I found out that my ex is dating one of my friends! She asked if it was okay and I said yeah but I was furious! And jealous and a little sad!! Why is it that even though I have a boyfriend I still am getting jealous of my ex and my friend??
