writes:I have been dating a man for 2years 8 months,and he broke up with me about 2 months ago. he and i are again dating but he hides me for fear that if his family finds out they will dump him. they are very dependent on him and i don't think this will happen.this man is 69 years old and i am 64. his class reunion is coming up in oct. and i can't go because his sister and husband live very close to the event and he said that they will know that something is up if he doesn't stay with them. plus there will be people at this reunion that know his relatives and they will tell them. what should i do? my family is very supportive of us and they want me happy. please help as soon as possible.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 September 2007): How old are you two and you are still jumping to his family's tune??? I could understand this question if you were both under 21 but not over 60!!!!!!!!!!! You can tell him that you are not hiding away, and if he wants you back in his life he will have to face up to people and that means his relatives as well. For goodness sake! I wouldn't put up with this for a minute. Tell him that you are both going to the reunion and the relative can go and jump into the lake!!!!!!!!Take care xx
