I do not believe this is true. The college sacked the member of staff but the police could not do anything as my daughter said nothing had happened. She was straight and had boyfriends prior to all this. Her being gay is not a problem just this woman. My daughter has given up a college scholarship and all she wants to do is go to Australia to be with this woman. The woman is not working and is getting my daughter to send her money and pay some of her bills.Any help or advice would be very gratefully received.

Yep the aunts are right, she's an adult (chronologically anyway). As a mother of adult children I can feel your pain. Tell her you love her and to call and write often. Don't let her see the tears. When she comes back with a broken heart she will need your words of wisdom and of course hugs. It's so funny how amazingly intelligent I get year after year, a miracle really, since when my daughters were teenagers I was a total retard. But now I'm a borderline genius, just ask them. ;) You'll be okay sweetie, she'll be back.

If thats what she wants to do as much as it hurts you and you don't want her to, i think you are just going to have to let her go.
She is like you say 18, so she is old enough to make her own decisions and mistakes, all you can do is be there for her if and when it all goes pear shaped.
The more you put up a fight about this the more you are likely to push her closer to this women.
Take care.xx.
