My dad won't let me a auto mechanic course at my school. I'm starting think it 1950 or something lol. But as my mom (and other women in my family) she thinks it would helpful to take it in case my car breaks out. Its causing fights between me and my dad. I really don't understand what the big deal its not like I want to be a hooker (which I dont). What should I do?

Thats pretty slack of him hey! But the below post would be a good laugh too. Id ask him what he thinks you should do in your career. Then secondly whey up what you want in your future over the next 10 to 15 years. like where you want to live, what type of car you wanna buy etc, take a good look at what and how a mechanic lives how much do they earn per year, what type of mechanic do you want to be and call related employers and ask them how competitive it is to get work etc. Try talking to your careers adviser at school to help you make a plan and tell the teacher your serious about this. so its important. then whey it up against all the pros and cons and then make a decision. tell your father your going to do this and even take his suggestion into account in your research.
At the end of the day its your life so do what you wanna do.
Let us know how you go.

Well just tell your dad that since you can't be a mechanic you will do a girls job and be a dancer.
Then start asking him to give you lifts to local strip joints as you have an interview.
Car mechanic courses may suddenly seem a lot more attractive to him.
Good Luck!! xx
