You want a way to get rid of trash economically and environment friendly... done. Tax breaks to the middle class is nice (if you are middle class) but I'm not. Those people didn't save the tax free money this year... they spent it. It did spike the economy but it didn't sustain it. At least these corporations aren't getting the tax breaks (and paying their CEOs millions while others struggle). That doesn't ensure the corporations will stay in the US either. Globalization is affecting us all.CrimeWe have way too many criminals in prison and for what? Cause they smoked weed? Set up rehabilitation camps instead of prisons and maybe the public would not be resistant to put those in their backyards. WelfareYeah some people try to mooch off the system but that doesn't mean we should do away with welfare. Maybe set up a team that checks in on people receiving welfare to see if they are making the effort to better themselves. EducationIf businesses are buying up stadiums then why not buy up school buildings and fix them up. The fact that the buildings are in bad shape means only three choices of investment. The government, churches, or businesses. They have the resources to fix these places up (or build new ones). Education should come first. If you are upset about the family with 5 kids running around, educate them. It is a known fact that educated people have less kids (2-3) than someone without a high school education. EnergyAs stated earlier about critical mass, the next innovation might be in electromagnetics. They have built electric cars and made them feasible to run. There were a bunch of high school dropouts that built a car that runs on water. There is even a car that runs on compressed air. The US is considered the leader of innovation... we just took too long of a break on the couch watching tv lately. Foreign policyThe US will do well with Obama since he is a very charismatic president, much like Clinton was. We took a few steps back with Bush and that is easily fixed. Other countries know how things change with a new president and around the world people cheered for Obama (though that was a bit scary to see). The US needs to put the pressure on Islamic groups to do more than just not encourage terrorism. The Koran has not been taught as Mohammad wanted it to be. If we are talking about religion... maybe Americans should read the Bible from cover to cover. Turn the other cheek, welcome thy neighbor, don't gamble, etc. Seems like people pick and choose what to read these days.Health CareI am one of thousands if not millions who use the ER as the only source of medical coverage. I just don't have that much money to spend towards rising health care costs. Find out why the costs are so high and do something about it. If it is malpractice suits, then give more breaks to doctors than 24 hr shifts. I'm sure their not as sharp at hour 22 than at hour 2. ImmigrationYes it is a problem when the job market is dwindling. I'm not saying kick them all out since their lives were probably a lot worse in their home country. We should fix up the US though and do something about our homeless people. Many are mentally ill and need some medical attention.IraqWhat a mess. Tell the public we will pull out in 12 months or so, but tell the Iraq police it will be more like 2 months. They need to stand on their own two feet. Maybe they will fall flat on their faces and another dictator will rise up. We need to stop playing big brother to these countries. After all, we put Saddam in power.
