All the while, I noticed a very cute sales girl who was most definitely giving me the eye the entire time I was shopping. As a person who believes gender has little to do with attraction I couldn't help but smile, so when I made my purchase she asked if I'd like it gift wrapped. I said yes. She mentioned that she'd have to get my name and number since there were a lot of other items in the queue and that I'd have to return in 10 minutes to collect it. So I did. I didn't think much of the interaction, but after that we'd notice each other and just say hi...Several months later a friend and I were walking back from a lunch date, and the cute sales girl waled by and she said hello...But this time, she mentioned my name too. My friend even pointed out that she simply lit up when she saw me :) So as I formally hadn't introduced myself to her, I went into the store and asked her name. When she gave it to me, she asked for mine (once again I thought this was odd because I heard her mention my name during that last encounter). So after I gave her my name I said that 'I heard you mention my name last time we said hello.' And that is where I believe it all went wrong...She got so embarrassed that she apologised and said that it was because she remembered my name off the piece of paper I had written on during Christmas (and I think I should add, that my name is a very obscure one). Then she went bright red and walked away from me! Ever since then, our conversations have been very short and awkward. She also makes less eye contact and now it has come to the point where she is completely ignoring me. From what I know about her, we seem to have very similar interests and chemistry. I would definitely like to know her better. But I don't think I can approach her anymore without making the situation awkward and uncomfortable. My friends have interpreted the situation in different ways. Although she does have a boyfriend, I think she has a crush on me. The situation doesn't make it obvious, but I do notice her looking at me if I walk by and quickly looking away. Your thoughts on what I should do? Should I leave it be or should I try to start talking with her again?
