Miamine agony auntJJ.. Did you post the original question? If your boyfriend is allowed his space to hang out with his friends, and you are feeling neglected because he doesn't find time to spend with you then yes, something is seriously wrong. How much time do you spend together and what do you do when you have time to spare. Do you have girlfriends that you hang out with, do you have hobbies and interests to occupy you?

What would I do? Well, no man would ever lie like this to me. He wouldn't need to. I don't feel neglected if a guy doesn't have spare time. I go and find some friends or work on my own hobbies and interests, and find that I don't miss him at all. If the guy finally has time, I'm probably too busy for him. But I've never been in that situation, most guys like to spend time with me but still like to do their own thing, and enjoy the fact that I have my own interests. But that's me and my situation. To help you, I would still like more information about the situation your in.

I definatley think you should say to him that you know he has lied, otherwise it will put a dampner on your mood. Just ask him why he felt like he couldn't tell you.Maybe he felt like he couldn't tell you because of ways you've reacted in past situations. If he came back to yours acting all affectionate then I really doubt he'd not wanna spend time with you otherwise he'd avoid it at all costs.

You also need to mention that you feel like you've been neglected while you've been together and tell him the situations in which you've felt like that.

The main thing is you just need to act calm and just let him express how he is feeling and you do the same.

In relationships it's all about give and take and you've got to find the right balance. You've only been in a relationship for 10 months, that's still quite a short amount of time and you still probably have so much to learn about each other.

Also I think that he was only playing video games with his mates. Guys need their Guy time and as his girlfriend you need to keep that in mind but not let him get too much guy time where you feel neglected.

I hope this was the answer you were after. :)

Be honest with him and i'm sure he will be honest with you aswell.

jc82 agony auntLet him know that you know. You have to confront him, or else it will weigh on you. Also, maybe you should think about the reason why he might have felt like he needed to lie about this. You probably need to know what made him lie, because it shouldn't matter that much to you, whether he goes to work or not. That is something he should be able to be honest about.

Miamine agony auntDo you live together, dose he have to help you pay bills?

You need to wonder why your boyfriend can't be honest enough to say, "I'm going over to see some friends." Do you take up all his time, do you allow him to spend time alone doing boys stuff or hanging out with his mates? Do you think that couples should do everything together and go everywhere together. Do you think that video games are a waste of time, and he shouldn't be playing like this? Did he have work that day, did he miss it to play instead?

Your post is very short. We don't know what your relationship is like with him. We have no idea why he dose this, if he dose this often, if you have arguments or are blissfully happy. We don't even know how long you've been together or how much time you spend together. We don't know enough to get you sensible advice about your problem.
