My boyfriend isnt the type to open up to me, although he always wants to know whats bothering me or whats on my mind. lately hes been depressed because of things at home and school, and putting on me. hes not acting like the same person. hes being insulting and taking everything the wrong way. He asked me to leave him alone for a few days, what does this mean? and should i not try and be there for him?

A reader, anonymous, writes (10 November 2007):

sometimes guys don't open up because of the emotional struggle of what you might think of him and sometimes it take a lot of trust and courage. men are different from women, we cry and show our feelings toward our boyfriends and husbands and they listen.
