Hi, I've been with my boyfriend for 4 months and he's sweet, sexy, good looking and everyting he is supposed to be, but he isn't very good at talking about his feelings.

At my work Christmas Party i was feeling a bit neglected and ended up having a very drunken kiss with a guy that has got a really bad reputation for being a womaniser.

It's killing me because i'm attracted to this guy from work and i know he feels an attraction and since the party we've been flirting, but i know this guy is no good for me and my bloke is worth 10 of him so why can't i leave this guy at work alone.

How do i get my bloke to open up a bit more or am i expecting a bit too much after only 4 months.

Walk away from this guy at work, you will be playing with fire and what is the point? You have a great guy so why mess things up? Most guys just don't see the need to chatter on like us girls. My bloke 'forgets' to tell me loads of things, when i say anything, he justs says he forgot or they are things that are not important! No like us girlies. Don't give up on him. Forget the one at work. I know we are all drawn like moths to lights when it comes to dangerous blokes, but believe me, if you go there you will get burnt and burnt badly. Once they get their own way they move on to their next conquest. Be warned, they are not worth it.

Take care and enjoy all you have

You know sweetie, your situation reminds me of the book/movie Bridget Jones's Diary!

Lets assume you are Bridget and the womanizer friend of yours as Daniel Cleaver and your sweeeeet bloke is Mark Darcy... I hope you've seen the movie or read the book... you'll know exactly who you need to pick. If you have not read the book or seen the movie, I suggest you do so PRONTO!

It's only been 4 months with the sweet guy... give him time before you ruin your chance with him... besides, why do you really care about that nasty guy from work?? If something did happen with you two and the guy being the womanizer he is, will dump after a couple of dates and pick up another younger woman from the same place you two work at! Do you really want to go through that sort of embarassment? If I was you, I'd run far away from him.

A female reader, cd206 United Kingdom +, writes (14 February 2007):

cd206 agony auntI think some guys are just not that comfortable with opening up. You know us girls... we have the smallest problem and we need to talk about it. Guys often want to think things through themselves before rushing into telling someone. It frustrates women because it's not what we're used to. Let the little things go. If someone dies you should obviously try harder to get him to open up but as far as the day to day stuff is concerned let it go. As for the guy at work you already know what to do. Stop it before it starts. You're so lucky to have found a guy who you describe as everything he's supposed to be.
