A female Canada age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I was offered a job in another country..

The first person I told about it was my boyfriend. I went to see him to discuss it with him because his opinion matters to me and he is always the first person I go to when something happens in my life.

I asked him if I should take it and to help me weigh the pro's and con's.

I think deep down I knew I wasn't going to accept the offer but part of me wanted to see his reaction.

He did tell me that it would be my choice and tried to point out the positives but he was clear he preferred I did not go because he would miss me too much and didn't want to lose me.

I told him the negatives outweighed the positives and I was not prepared to leave. That I have ties here and family and friends here I could not leave behind including him.

But since that discussion he has been way more attentive towards me than usual. Has been paying way more attention to me and spending more time with me. I have to let them know by tomorrow but ever since we had the talk he has been over everyday and he doesn't do that often.

I am not sure why he's more attentive than usual?

He knows I was turning the job down.

Any ideas?
