My boyfriend has become distant and I've been acting the same way to try to prove a point. I still don't know what to do or why he's being like this

A female Bulgaria age 36-40, *ybolina writes:

How would you treat a boyfriend that is away from you, and you have had a 1.5 year-long relationship, he claims that he loves you, and brings you sweet gifts, but recently is lost somewhere and ignores you any possible ways? I tried behaving like him, he was teased, still don't know what the result is going to be, but should i continue behaving like reserved as well? today i made it clear, that i organize my time so that i have time to meet him online, but as he doesnt have this time, i go out just like he does. Do you think this whole idea is good by the time he realizes that this is his way of behavior to me? Or should i be straight?...

What could be the reason for his attitude?!

A reader, anonymous, writes (24 November 2007):

Have you addressed him about how he makes you feel and what his reasons are for doing so?

Usually a distant man has a worry, a secret or a pain in his life (like a grievence)

You need to get to the bottom of this and by being stubborn you are just dragging it out and lowering yourself to his level of 'shut down'

Dont let it get to the point where you can no longer talk.
