He says that it isn't sore but he's worried about what it could be, and is scared that it could be serious. We are both sexually active, but have only ever been with each other and I have not noticed anything different on myself, so could this rule out the chance of it being and STI? He also has eczema, and can sometimes gets it there, and when its bad it can cause his skin to rip and form cuts, so could this have caused it to be a possible infection? What could it be?? At worst it's an ingrown hair. Nasty, but hardly fatal. If it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks, see a doctor.

Since it is on the surface there is a 99.99% chance it is nothing. Clean it vigorously and apply antiseptic (betadine) to reduce the chance of infection. Keep it dry and apply antiseptic several times per day.
If it does not go away in three days get to a dermatologist as soon as possible.
