writes: When my boyfriend and I argue over text, I've found that he's very mean, stubborn, and blames me for everything. When we fight in person, he is more kind and owns up to his side, as I do with mine. Why does he do this? Is it a power thing? Being all high and mighty behind a cell phone?

I don't think it's a power-thing, I think it a "we can't read each other over texts" thing.
So if you are smart, then TAKE heed to this and STOP fighting over texts. Carrying on a relationship and fights via text is not really the way to go.

reader, anonymous, writes (16 November 2013): It's because when he's texting, he doesn't really have to hear it from you. I'm more rude over text and even in here as well. For future reference (and not just because he's more rude over text), it's not a good idea for ANYONE to argue via text as you're missing out on face expressions, voice tone, and body language. That, and there's always autocorrect fails to contend with which can turn some of the nicest conversations sour.
