Matt and I have been best friends since we were 16. My boyfriend has been complaining to me about spending time with Matt since we started dating but it has gotten so bad in the last few months that it is causing us to fight. Ever time he gets drunk he picks a fight with Matt. Last week end we were at a party and my b/f just walked up to Matt and punched him in the face for no reason. He has told me if I dont stop hanging around with Matt then he might leave. He has forbidden Matt to spend the night and accuses me of sleeping with Matt when he does spend the night.I love my boyfriend, but how do I show him that Matt and I are just friends?

I agree with Baby duck.
Yes you should respect your boyfriend's feelings..... right up until the point where he gets violent.
In that moment he proved to you that he is a complete waste of your time.
Tell him you do not want to date a controlling thug and that he can leave you alone from now on.
Good Luck!! xx
