My bf of two years is in the army and goin on tour next month I am so worried and he has gone on training courses for the next 3 weeks so not sure when i'll get to see him again. He is away at the moment and i wanna ask him questions about when he goes away and how much contact we will have. Thing is he and his ex have kids. He is technically still married to her. I'm worried about how i'll know if he is hurt

Angel102307 agony auntHi...my boyfriend is currently in Iraq. I worry about the same thing. But, i agree with the answer before mine. Its not as bad as it seems. I have contact with him everday. Days i dont his family does. But, you will just have to wait to hear from him and dont worry about it too much. Continue with your days and the times you do hear from him be grateful. :D. Any more questions just go ahead and ask away.

Hi my brother is in the army and came back from Iraq just before Christmas. Please try not to worry, they have access to some facilities and I think my brother said they were each allocated like a call card for use of the phone, he called about twice a week.

Also when he filled in all his paperwork, it would depend on who he put as his point of contact as to who would be informed if he were injured but he can always make sure that you would be told if anything were to happen.

I know that times are tough when loved ones are going on tour but it is really not as bad as it first seems, my brother at least seemed to have a very comfortable time out there and the army do look after them. Take care.

Ps. You can always phone him now whilst he is training, their phones are usually in lock up but he will return your call when they are finished for the day and see's your call, unless he is on night guard, of course.
