He starts cursing, really bad. up to the point where he is using the MF word and he also says words that put down God. I find it really uncomfortable when he starts doing this and pounding the desk if he looses his game. Is this a normal thing for guys or does he have some kind of problem?

As below if the anger doesnt linger after at all then its all okay and totaly normal.Once it starts to take over though the games and cursing more often I would try to put some stopping to it but yelling and cursing at the computer when playing a video game totaly normal.

Hello JT,
My husband is the same way as your boyfriend. When he's playing video games, all sorts of curse word combinations are shouted out of the computer room. lol Afterwards, he's just himself again.
If I were you, I'd only be concerned if his anger lingered on after the game was finished. Otherwise, he sounds pretty normal to me. ^_^
Take care.

Well, sweetness...
Not gonna lie to you, guys can get SO into video games. I definitely know more than my share of guys who get so involved in these things! They start swearing at the screen and all hell breaks loose!
And, to be honest, all though I'm not what they call a "gamer", if I do pick up a controller, I turn the same way. I'm swearing up a storm, getting angry and throwing the controller. Those games are so frustrating!!
If he doesn't show any more angry tendencies, I would say that this is just what happens when someone plays a video game. Talk to him and tell him how nervous it makes you and how you'd really prefer if he toned it down.
Good luck, sweetness,
xxIndia

I'm a fairly big gamer myself, as are all of my close friends. None of us have really gotten angry over the game, most times we actually joke and make fun of it if we lose. I have seen a few people who lose their temper quickly over games; most cases they have anger issues outside of the game as well. Does he get angry at other things? If so, perhaps a bit of anger management may be able to help. Otherwise, try and suggest calmer games to play, violent games can cause frustration in people if they lose a lot. Other than that, playing video games should be just a relaxing use of time.
