 If your bestfriend cheated on her ex she didn't really like him,so it maye be hard for her to except the fact that you like him because hes her ex and she doesn't want you ploting or turning against her with her ex she is afraid to lose you as a best friend to her ex,you need to talk to her about how you feel and if she truly is your friend she will understand and maybe you can have a chance at liking him,but be careful because with all this comes the most important question of all "Who is more important to have in your life,and who is there for you more,your bestfriend,or the guy you like?"

reader, anonymous, writes (27 March 2010): I don't know about you but in my group of friends, boys that your girlfriends have gone out with are usually off limits. If he cheated on her, chances are she probably still has feelings for him and is also probably still hurt that he cheated.
It may also be that she is looking out for you, she knows he has a history of cheating and doesn't want you to make that mistake and get hurt.
