I think you have to calm down a bit and stop worrying about the situation so much. Basically, you cannot control your best friend and you cannot control this man either. You can control you and how you react to the situation. If you and this guy are mean't to be together then it will just happen. If he decides to date your friend or she seduces him then he just wasn't worth the effort was he? You could do without all the hassle. So just wait it all out. Your best friend isn't wrong her because she sees him as a single man - he is not your boyfriend yet. I personally wouldn't jeopardise a good friendship over a random man who isn't even your boyfriend yet - plenty of men out there, not so many best friends!
