Being nice and sweet is what any girl would do and it JUST DOESN'T WORK.
You have to tell him that if he doesn't stop asking you out and trying it on with you then you don't want to see him any more as a friend.
You have to be cruel to be kind or he may think that since you keep being nice to him then he has a chance.

hi i would say that if you truly do not want to take this friendship further then you must be to the point and tell your friend that if he values your friendship and wants to keep it then he must learn to adapt his feelings towards you and not to see you as a girlfriend or he will push you away forever and lose you and all your qualities that make you friends hope this helps
