A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My best mate who is male, is leaving soon. Hes going 6-7 hours away for work. At the time I realised he would be leaving, my feelings seemed to become clearer. The threat of losing someone that I have got feelings for is tough to take.

We get on great but I am not sure if I should tell him how I feel before he goes. I do believe we are very close, he’ll always try being in the same room as me like the other day he come into the room I was in and sat with me for an hour just making me laugh and looking a little fed up if anyone come in and asked him to help them with something. We constantly flirt, he hates if I look at other guys, in a playful way if he sees me looking he will tell me to stop looking and then messes about saying I should take a leaf out of my other mates book who goes for nice guys.

I don’t want to lose him, I am gutted he is leaving but I would never ask him not to. What do you think though, should I tell him how I feel? We have a complicated past which is why I want some advice.

Ed1337 agony auntGo for it, you only live once and if he is moving away then what have you got to lose?

I recently told a friend that I had feelings for her, she only wanted to be friends, but atleast I don't have to worry about what could have been if only I had made a move.

You say things were complicated, could you explain a little further?
