I'm in love with this girl whose been like my best friend for years, and all my best friends knew about then one of them spitefully asked her out on a date and she said yes even though shes told my friend she dosent like him in that way. They dont act like a couple even though they say they are, and rarely, my friend rams it down my throat that he has her and I dont at evey chance he gets, the girl sends to ditch him and spend time with me and we seem closer than ever, it really seems like we are becoming more than friends. What shall I do?

A male reader, rcn United States +, writes (2 August 2009):

rcn agony auntDid you ever think maybe she went out with him spitefully too, because she's waiting for someone else (YOU) to ask her out? When she ditches him to spend time with you, tell her how you feel. To often people loose out on the one they really love, because their nervous, and don't tell someone how they feel. Don't let your story be "if I'd only...." She might be waiting and wondering when you will also.
