By then we will both be eighteen, but I will probaby do another year at college. This would mean that I would be in lessons he would be helping teach. I read something about it being just as illegal to date a student-teacher as a proper teacher. Is this true? And even if it's not is it even a good idea? Would we be expected to end it, or just sort of keep it hidden from other students? Reply to this Question Share |

I tried to research this for you, but couldn't find an answer as to whether it's illegal or not :S
I think the best thing to do is not be open about your relationship. Don't spend time together during school hours - you don't have to avoid each other, you can say when you pass each other and have small conversations, but don't be overt about the fact you're together. I'm sorry that I can't tell you whether it's illegal or not, I don't see why it should be, but it could be frowned upon, so to avoid any negative outcomes e.g. him losing his job, just be discreet about your relationship.
