According to my prescription information, I should be ok because I only missed one pill and took two the next day, but my last two periods have been extremely light so now I'm getting worried. Is there a chance I could be pregnant or is this just a fluke from the pill? I only started on it 7 months ago and it did make my periods lighter when I originally started, however this is the lightest its ever been.

It might be light for various reasons and Ive never heard that being a symptom of pregnancy. However, my birth control pills tell me strightly that if I miss as much as one I am unprotected for the following 8 days, when taking the pill as soon as I remember it naturally. If you stop taking it alltogether you are unprotected until you start up again +8 days. But if your pill is a fancier one than mine, or maybe this is also dependant on what country you live in (some are pro-birth or what you want to call it), you could be fine. The rule is that as long as you follow the instructions down to the last dot you are practically 100%safe. Give and take the odd one out that always occur. Your lighter period sounds more like a side effect of the pill.

Don't worry if its overly light, it shouldn't mean anything except you might have a few heavier periods down the line. Most pills not only stop ovulation but also thicken the lining of your cervix which stops most of the sperm from reaching your womb!
