Hey!
The problem with internet introductions, and the formulation of relationships, is that you are learning about someone outside the realm of 'conventional' reality also the relationship is not in real time. However fast an instant message is, its not 'instant' it still takes time for somebody to write a message which they can also edit as they type or think about it,or talk as sexy as you want in your pjs with holes in em, giving the other person a slightly false impression.
Therefore, when it comes to the physical meeting, not only can it be a surreal and jarring experience but it may also be tough to get to grips with the difference in conciousness that a person you thought you knew is now in.
The first meeting is always tough and uncomfortable and for that reason many people will find it emotionally safer to go back to what was comfortable, i.e., talking online.
If you want that to change and you want more real time with this guy, you might have to be the one to say ' hey lets catch a movie'-
p.s. always be careful when meeting people off the internet. meet in public places and never take them to your home.
PEACE AND GOD BLESS
