writes: i have been with my boyfriend for 3 months now, i met him when i went to his town to stay with a girl mate of mine who introduced us to each other last october for a week, me a him got on so well i ended up cheating on him with my now ex(bad i know, no lectures please) it was protected with a condom though.we ended up getting together, and i went to stay with him for a week and a half in june of this year, we had sex at least 3 times a day most of the days i was there with nothing for protecton other than my implant so when i got home i did 2 pregnancy tests(one on one day, the other the next day) about a week or so after arriving back home and both were negative, and we both got tested for STI's and we were both clean.my main worry now though is that my current period is completely out of whack! it started 2 weeks and 1 day ago, and its still going, surely it cant just be my normal period? there was a bit of a break last weekend though for about 2 days, but as i sad it came back and is still going now.can anybody shed some light on this and figure out what is wrong with me? because i have no STI's and im not pregnant, and obvously i have had no sex sicne seeing my boyfriend back in june

reader, anonymous, writes (8 August 2010): i have had my implant since the end of last november, but upon using the loo this morning i think its stopping now, but i shall go to the doctor if it continues on into this week.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 August 2010): Well, i know a lot of people that have this type of contraceptive, and they have gone through a stage where they have had a constant period, and one lasted as long as 3 months, but this was at her early stages of having the implant.
So how long have you had it?
If it is still only early months then it might be because it hasnt settled in just yet.
But if your too worried maybe you should visit the doctor, just to give you peace at mind.
