Why don't the two of you go and see him, tell him why each of you want him, explain what your good points are and let him decide which one of you should get the goodies? You could also ask him if he's got a mate for whoever loses out.

Well whos better suited? It sounds like it would be ideal for your mate to as she lives close by but a distance can work. Dont let it wruin your friendship though, its only a guy and there not really worth fighting over!

Who likes him the most? Who has genuine feelings and whos feeling lust? Come to a descion and stick to it, im sure as friends you will but if you dont simply decide neither of you will! thats fair but still means one of you is missing out! Talk it through, Best of luck
