Hello Cupids.

Recently I've just got hired at a local walmart, and Ive been there about a month. Ive gotten really sick with the stomach flu and have called in today a day i know i wasnt working they called telling me Im a no show, I really want to keep this job but one of the managers is making me feel like im worthless and puts me down. Everyday that shes around i want to quit, and Im worried she is going to fire me. Everyone else at work really likes me, and its not that she doesnt like me but always talks to me like Im stupid and nothing, unless another manager is around she talks to me very nicely. I really don't know how to deal with this situation, its bringing me to tears because I am trying very hard and I dont deserve to be spoken to like that, Im not usualy the type of person to cry over something like this but shes making me feel like i am pathetic and no good, and shes not even my manager but she always seems to find a new way to make me feel horrible and like a failure. How should I handle this situation any advice I would highly appreciated.

mystiquek agony auntHi. I worked at a Walmart in the states for 2 years, and Walmart doesn't tolerate employees mistreating one another. Go to YOUR manager and explain the situation.Ask to have a private meeting, and just tell your manager everything that has been going on. If you don't feel comfortable with that, go to your personnel office. Believe me, you will be heard. And someone will be reprimanded. Do not put up with such treatment. That other manager is out of line.

fi_the_tree agony auntYou need to speak to your manager about her behavior. You don't deserve to be spoken to like that, you need to do something about it!

ell your manager about what she says to you, and how it makes you feel, then this woman will be punished accordingly, either getting a formal warning or even fired.

Don't put up with this for a moment longer. Ask to speak to your manager in confidence. Best of luck :)
