Yeah, thanks Dr Pete, I like the way you explained love using the pool analogy, thats better than how I put it!! By my dear, just one more point regarding loving someone and being in love, dont confuse LOVE and LUST either. It sounds obvious, but when you are truly IN love with someone, you REALLY know =about it. Out hearts and emotions are clever little beings, they tell you everything. xXx

If you are in love with someone you think about them all the time, you want to be with them, you want to be intimate with them and you picture a future with them.
Think of being "in" love as being consumed by it. Imagine a swimming pool, the water is "love". Imagine jumping in and being surrounded by it, it covers your body from head to toe. Being IN love is a state that is far more intense than loving someone.
Hope that helps too!

Well, lets use an example shall we. I have a very good male friend. I am female. I absolutely love this man, he is the greatest, he is funny, kind, sensitive etc but I ma not IN love withhim because I dont want to wake up next to him every morning, I dont want to marry him, I dont want to have his children, I dont want to kiss and cuddle him and gaze into his eyes, thats usually what happens when you are IN love! And thats not that he is not attractive, but I purely see him as a mate! But I love him as a friend. So, love is a connection you have with someone, whereas being in love is a connection you have with someone which goes beyound being friends, i.e. you become as one through intimacy. Hope that helps. xXx
