A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Unfortunately i am one of those people who start losing their hair already at a young age and i am not panicking around ,i already accepted the fact, and i know what i am going to do. So i will get a buzz cut or get bald completely. There are just a few important things i worry about.

For example people say i have a long forehead, does it make me look funny when i get the hair of completely ? another example girls like my long hair a lot ,em i gonna lose my attractivity if i get my hair off?

I know that if you grow your facial hair it makes you look better whit out hair. Its hard for me to give up my hair but its better than walking around half bald at a age of 25. Currently i am 17 and i just would like to have an advice for my upcoming situation , i would very appreciate it .

I know its the wrong place to ask ,but there are manny experienced people here so thats why i came here ,thank you.

Have you seen a Dr? Whether it be male pattern baldness or alopecia, there are treatments that will help you keep your own hair longer. When you are older and have the financial means, you may be a candidate hair plug implants depending on what caused the hair loss.

As far as what others think about you, your feelings are what matters most. Some of the sexiest men have been bald or have little hair on their heads but it's not the head that makes a man sexy, it's his attitude and sence of self worth along with confidence and swagger that makes them sexy. As for women not finding you attractive, to hell with them!! There are women who will find you sexy and attractive.

Honeypie agony auntSome women like a guy with lots of hair, some don't. Living on a military installation I mainly see guys with short hair, it's become the norm. When I do see a long haired guy, my first thought it.. If he was my dog, I'd give him a hair cut!

I think as long as you have self confidence you will be alright, long hair, buzz cut or bald head.

Personally, I think bald can be very attractive in a guy. ( just not with a beard ...*shudder*)

And as far as what will people think? *shrug* who cares? If they ask, tell them you are tired of all that hair.

chigirl agony auntI don't know about the rest of your questions, but I can answer this one: "another example girls like my long hair a lot ,em i gonna lose my attractivity if i get my hair off?"

You will probably not be attractive to THOSE girls anymore. But instead you will find a whole new group of women who are attracted to you instead. People have different taste, and without a doubt you will meet many who find you attractive just as you are. But those who find you attractive now might not be the ones who find you attractive in the future, as people change, you change, and our preferences change.

However, if you are lucky enough to meet someone who loves you for your personality, looks will come second. And so you shouldn't have to worry about that at all. Remember though that the top priority is not that others like your looks, but that YOU like your looks. Put yourself first and decide what you think will look good, and go with that.

You're not alone to be loosing your hair at an early age. It's not something anyone would want, but it happens. Thats life, and I think you're dealing with it in a great way! That earns some respect!
