A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi all. So my partner of 7 yrs has moved abroad for work so that we can save for a house as his new job has much better pay. He has a major problem with lying and its nearly ruined us. He's been abroad for 8 weeks now. A few weeks b4 he left he got beat up apparently mugged and he came off all social media the day after. I found it suss and it didn't sit right with me. After some investigating it turned out my gut was right. He was shit faced drunk started on a lad who decked him he was also in a nightclub with some girls one of which he had been casually meeting up with b4 me. They were doing coke and he was texting the same girl. Then he apparently got jumped by teenagers that only took his money not his phone bank card trainers new jacket just the 100 quid.

Anyway after lying and lying I hit him with some facts that I knew he was taking coke and who he was with. He finally admitted to some of it but said he was jumped and he only bumped into the girl outside the club and when she texted him he deleted his social media. I don't really believe that but anyway he broke up with me for not trusting him ?? then a few days later begged me to take him back that he doesn't want to go abroad with us broken up and hel stay off the drink bcoz he does stupid shit on it. We have a child together so I agreed and up until last night everything had been great. He texted me that he was out with a load of work lads having drinks. I instantly got angry because he broke his word. He basically got really smart with me told me he's not giving up drink and I'm living in lala land and was utterly ignorant saying I'm trying to ruin his night and he's nit a liar bcoz he told me he was out. I don't have a problem with him going out atal but I do have a problem with his drinking. Then he said he'd go home in an hr he did in fact stay drinking and went hone 6 hrs later. Am I being totally unreasonable about this?

Urgh, you should just dump him. He lies, he drinks excessively, he takes drugs, he gets in fights.... why are you wasting your time?
