Purplefun is verified as being by the original poster of the questionThank you for responding to my question. The e-mail that I received said "To Bad I am Already Married" he says he didn't send it and he also said don't you see the humor in that.

reader, anonymous, writes (21 January 2007): Don;t know what sort of strange email you received from him - sounds as if you attempted to ask him about it, and basically didn't get anywhere.
If he told you he needs time to reassess, you really have to honor that, and after all, you did then decide to break off with him.
See how it goes over the next two weeks to a month; see if he contacts you. If he does not, you could try getting in touch to say hello and ask how he is. Perhaps that will give an opening to talk about your relationship.
